So what do you get when you pair dough and chocolate chips? Chocolate chip cookies! Make this melt-in-your-mouth cookiesyour ultimate comfort food this social isolation season.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup salted butter softened
  • 1 cup caster sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips

What to do

  1. Preheat the oven to 190oC.
  2. Line a baking pan with parchment paper and set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl mix flour, baking soda, salt and baking powder. Set aside.
  4. Using a handheld mixer, mix butter and sugars until fluffy.Add in eggs and vanilla, and mix again. Add in the dry ingredients and mix until well-combined.
  5. Add chocolate chips and mix well.
  6. Roll dough into balls, depending on the size of cookies you want, and place them evenly on prepared baking pan.
  7. Bake for approximately 12 minutes or until lightly browned.
  8. Let them sit on the baking pan for 2 minutes before removing them from the baking pan. Place them on the rack for about 10 minutes for them to cool further and serve with a glass of milk or tea
